United Fray

In the role of Marketing Associate & Graphic Designer at United Fray, I found myself working on many unique B2B and B2C marketing campaigns simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment. These projects required many different types of deliverables with varying functions and goals across the company's 3 main markets (Washington DC, Phoenix AZ, and Jacksonville FL) while all fitting within the overarching United Fray brand (and sometimes client brands as well). By producing fresh, compelling assets with my marketing team as well as collaborating with the sales and events teams to identify creative marketing opportunities, I helped identify actions to drive engagement, attendance, and overall campaign success.

B2C Projects (Click to Expand)

A prominent aspect of United Fray's business is hosting social sports leagues in all 3 of our markets. I assisted in promoting registration for each of the 4 seasons (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) through graphics creation and ads on social media, email, web, and print. Within these seasonal campaigns, I also produced marketing materials to promote new leagues at sponsor bar locations in all 3 markets. Lastly, I conducted post-season stats collection to recap our marketing reach and wins that could be carried into next season's strategy.

For both sports leagues and events carried out by United Fray, I designed shirts that ended up being worn by thousands of participants and consumers. I designed Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring social sports league shirts as well as shirts for our annual After-School All-Stars Field Day Fundraiser event which had 16+ corporate sponsors.

On the events side of marketing, I schedule ads and produced graphics to promote big events such as Pride on the Pier 2024 on The Wharf as well as event series like the Summer Concert Series sponsored by development The Boro Tysons.

Here is an example of a sponsor sheet for a DC Polo Society event which was a collaboration with Congressional Polo Club. It outlines the different price points and perks of being a sponsor while showcasing images from past events.

Here is one of the three media kits I updated for each of our company markets (Washington DC, Phoenix Arizona, and Jacksonville Florida). It introduces United Fray as a company and their audience outreach in that market while also detailing the extent of their sponsorship, advertising, and marketing opportunities for potential clients.

Here is an example of a recap from a paint and sip event in Alexandria, Virginia with Carlyle Crossing, a 1.7 million square foot development containing a luxury apartment complex. It includes engagement statistics along with event images.

Here is an example of a partnership/event proposal with multiple local non-profit organizations to create a Summer Olympic Village activation hub in Philadelphia for the first four days of the 2024 Summer Olympics. This event eventually came to fruition with a great turnout and many fun activities.

Web Proficiency (Click to Expand)

In addition to broadening and strengthening my design skills, I gained valuable new skillsets which included navigating CMS's such as Wordpress (company websites), Broadstreet (performance tracking for marketing campaigns), Hubspot (email, newsletter, and entry form creation), Eventbrite, and our own original software Commish (for our exclusive Fraylife+ membership). Above are a few examples of graphics I created for upcoming events that I then uploaded to the DC Fray and District Fray Magazine websites. I also published work on the PHX Fray (Phoenix, Arizona), JAX Fray (Jacksonville, Florida) and United Fray websites.

Corporate/Client Work (Click to Expand)

Besides our in-house events and social sports leagues, I have gotten to work with several corporate clients designing slide decks, event logos, on-site signage, and general event items. Above are two examples of corporate events I did design work on and those designs in action (Renewal by Andersen and Esler Companies).

Print and Publication Work (Click to Expand)

I had the opportunity to take full creative and design leadership on multiple publications (each 32 pages long) that highlighted exciting upcoming events and activities to do in and around the D.C. area in the Fall and Spring seasons in the form of listings, articles, and paid advertisements from clients. Both guides ended up being published digitally to the vast DC Fray online audience as well as having thousands of copies printed and distributed across the DMV area.
